Miranda Lambert is set to combine two of her loves — music and dogs — when she kicks off an upcoming benefit concert on Oct. 5 in Nashville, all in an effort to raise funds to help animals.
The five-time ACM album of the Year winner will welcome many of her animal-loving friends and fellow musicians to join her at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater for a show presented by Tractor Supply Company, with net proceeds from the concert benefiting of Lambert's MuttNation Foundation. The full lineup of participating artists will be revealed at a later date.
Lambert and her mother Bev co-founded the MuttNation Foundation in 2009, and the organization has raised nearly $10 million to date to further its goal of supporting pet welfare and adoption across the country. MuttNation also financially supports and assists the work of transportation partners to help relocate animals during natural disasters. In addition, the MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert line of pet toys and supplies, which benefits the MuttNation Foundation, is available exclusively at Tractor Supply Company stores.
“I wanted to do something special to celebrate MuttNation's 15th anniversary and I thought sharing a night of great music with some great friends that would also include a lot of mutts would be as much fun as I could imagine,” Lambert said in a statement. “We're going to do an adoption event and a lot of other activities — and we're just going to make it a big party. I hope everyone will come out and party with us.”
Public bidding for the concert begins on May 10 at 10am. CT on liveation.com.
Lambert recently released her new single “Wranglers” along with the news that she just signed a new deal with Republic Records, in collaboration with Big Loud. “Wranglers” also marks Lambert's first music release since her 2022 album Palomino.
“'Wranglers' is a story of a woman taking back her power,” Lambert said in a statement when the song was released. “I think we can all relate to the character in this song because we've all had a time in our lives where we needed to find a way to find our strength and also get a little revenge on someone who wronged us or hurt us. .”
