Ghost has released the trailer for his next feature film Rite here Rite nowas well as advance tickets to theatrical screenings and pre-order details for the original soundtrack.
The trailer offers a first look at what fans can expect from the pseudo-narrative concert film that “fully immerses viewers in the technicolor melodrama” of the band's “vaunted live ritual.”
The film was culled from footage from Ghost's two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in 2023, with most of the trailer made up of clips from the concerts. The now-iconic song “Square Hammer” plays everywhere, with an adaptation of its chorus serving as the film's title.
Ghost and the filmmakers made sure the trailer didn't give away too much. There are some dramatic cuts to key characters in Ghost's story, a brief snippet of superimposed animation, and other Easter eggs for devoted fans. But in the minute-long teaser we mainly see high-fidelity concert footage.
Rite here Rite now will be released in theaters worldwide on June 20 and 22, and you can purchase tickets and view showtimes through the film's website. website.
Along with the trailer, the band also shared pre-order information for the original soundtrack, an 18-song offering that will be available on double vinyl LP and CD. Pre-orders are ongoing via this place and will include early access to the live version of “Absolution” from the Kia Forum concerts.
