Shaboozey accepts her No. 1 plaque on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for her record-breaking achievement with her song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
Shaboozey:
They told me this was going to be like a dinner. So I didn't prepare any speech. But, I just want to say that I am very grateful and very honored to be here on this stage. You know, I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be here receiving an award like this, you know there are so many people here that I want to thank. There are so many people you know, I think you know, we should all be here together. So, you know, this is not just for me, it's for everyone who is really making changes in this space. You know, Mike and Tanya, I see you all know that. I mean, I remember hearing “Hey Driver” for the first time and crying my eyes out. I see Reyna Robertson here too. I know there's a couple other people that maybe aren't here, maybe are here, Tanner, Willie, everyone, you know, great. You guys mean a lot to me and everything you've done in this, you know, we're here together. And my message has always been integration and just bringing people together and sharing stories. You know, it's never been about anything. Other than that, you know, thank you very much. And also thanks to Beyoncé. What am I talking about, the Queen? Thank you very much to all. I seriously love you all.
