The singer's LP arrives next month
In a teaser for her upcoming dopamine album, Normani portrays a phone sex operator who picks up a shadowy man in a phone booth.
“Hello, Hotline 159,” he says. “Yes, here to satisfy your deepest, darkest, wildest desires. No rules, no restrictions, instant dopamine.” Although she seems fit for the job, even answering emails while taking the call while playing her song with Gunna '1:59', she could probably use a standing desk as the latex suit feels restrictive when she bends down for to type. Later in the clip, however, she shows just how versatile she is both literally and lyrically.
The main course, however, is a teaser of “Candy Paint”. “I can make it boom-boom, clap, like I'm hitting the drums,” he raps at one point. “I can make it, make it out in the race if I want it,” he raps in another. “Baby, I could take your place if you want.” The full context of those rhymes and the mystery of all the rocket imagery throughout the two-minute clip (oh wait, it's about sex) will be revealed when the album drops on June 14.
dopamine will be the first solo album from the former Fifth Harmony member, and even she knows it's a bit overdue since the group went on indefinite hiatus in 2018 and has been releasing singles for years. So he bought the best domain name to tease LP: WheresTheDamnAlbum.com. The site has links to help you pre-save it on Apple Music and Spotify to see if dopamine actually comes out on June 14th and if Normani decided to redirect the site to HeresTheDamnAlbum.com while the domain is still available.
