They told you it was coming and now it's almost here. Days after Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B and GloRilla joined the stage during Meg's Madison Square Garden Hot Girl Summer show in New York last week, Cardi revealed that a remix of “Wanna Be” will released on Friday (May 31).
Unlike the original that came out in April with Glo and Meg, however, this revamp will feature all three women. “AHHH… Wanna Be Remix out Friday!!,” Cardi tweeted on Wednesday (May 29) alongside artwork from the single, which features cartoon images of all three women chilling in front of a chain link fence. chain.
Cardi was the surprise guest at Meg's MSG show, co-headlining a number of their NSFW collaborations, “WAP” and “Bongos,” with Cardi dropping her verse on Glo's “Tomorrow 2” and before Glo and Mega performed “Wanna Be” as Cardi pierced along.
According NME, Glo let the cat out of the bag when she told the crowd, “We got a muthaf-kin announcement. I need you to stay tuned.” Megan then urged GloRilla to cough it up, so she asked the audience, “You wanna hear 'Wanna Be' with Muthaf-kin' Cardi B?”
Then Meg made it crystal clear. The 'Wanna Be' remix is about to drop, yes. Be ready.”
The original version of “Wanna Be” appeared on GloRilla's second mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang, which fell in April. Glo's 12 track sequel Anyway, life is great The EP – which spawned the breakthrough hits “FNF (Let's Go)” and “Tomorrow 2” – included the burner “Yeah Glo!” as well as the Moneybagg Yo collaboration “All Dere”.
