Kendrick Lamar feels like celebrating.
After besting Drake in a multi-year rap battle, he's bringing a concert to Los Angeles with the help of pgLang and Free Lunch. Lamar just announced The Pop Out: Ken and Friends is scheduled for Juneteenth (Wednesday, July 19) at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, marking his first live performance since he and the Toronto rapper went toe-to-toe.
Doors open at 3pm. and the show starts at 4 p.m., with general tickets on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PT. However, Cash App Card holders have the opportunity to buy tickets a day early on Thursday. If you have a cash app card, you can access it using the first nine digits of your card on Thursday from 10am. until 10 p.m. local time. You can check the Ticketmaster website for more information.
Worth noting: Frequent collaborator Terrace Martin was recently on Instagram Live and mentioned that I'm excited for Kendrick's new album. So those in attendance may have a chance to hear new material. There's no word yet on the setlist, but we're willing to bet the Forum roof will start shaking when he performs “Not Like Us” for this raucous LA crowd. Kendrick hasn't released an album in two years, since releasing his fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers in 2022.
This upcoming show has the opportunity to be very special for those in attendance.
