Rejoice, Netflix's animated reboot of the classic TV sitcom Good momentshas the showrunner and his voice.
It has been detected DeadlineJB Smoove, recently engaged to Yvette Nicole BrownJay Pharoah, Marsai Martin, Slink Johnson and Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola will voice the characters in the animated version of Good moments.
For Pharoah, it will be the second time he deals with something associated with Good moments. The actor/comedian portrayed JJ Evans, originally played by Jimmie Walker on ABC's Oscar-winning Live in front of a shared studio: Everyone in the family and Good moments.
The late Norman Lear, its architect Good moments, a spinoff of his other sitcom, Maudea spinoff of Everyone in the family, will have a guest appearance in episode 1 of season.
According to the website, Ranada Shepard (New love, Diary of a Future President) will share co-creator duties with Carl Jones. Shepard is also an executive producer and showrunner on the animated comedy.

The animated series Good Times finds the fourth generation of the Evans family living in apartment 17C of the last remaining housing projects in Chicago. It turns out that the more things change the more they stay the same and keeping your head above water is as difficult as ever. The only thing tougher than life for this family is love, and there's more than enough to go around.
The Netflix and Sony Picture Television comedy doesn't have a confirmed release date, but sources say they're aiming for a summer 2024 premiere. Netflix and Sony PT declined to comment for this story.
Deadline It also notes that Norman Lear and Brent Miller will executive produce under Act III Productions, as well as Stephen Curry, Erick Peyton and Jeron Smith for Unanimous and Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins for Fuzzy Door.
