Sabrina Carpenter's summer isn't over yet.
Based on mid-week UK sales and streaming data recorded by Official chart companyCarpenter's hit “Please Please Please” (via Island) should return to the summit for a seventh-straight week.
“Please Please Please” is the follow-up to “Espresso,” which dominated the national singles chart for 14 weeks and is projected to drop 1-9.
Carpenter last Friday, July 19 entered the record books (again) by locking in the joint lead as the artist who has spent the most consecutive weeks occupying both the top two spots on the charts at the same time, a record she shares with Ed Sheeran at five weeks .
If the midweek chart is any indication, Billie Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' (Interscope) and Chappell Roan's rising hit 'Good Luck Babe' (Island) will round out the podium.
The top new debut has to go to Little Mix's Jade, with her first solo single 'Angel Of My Dreams' (RCA). It's new at No. 5 on the blast chart.
As it stands, Little Mix's partner on the solo chart-topping effort is Jesy Nelson, whose Nicki Minaj-featuring “Boyz” debuted at No. 4. “Angel” will need to open the wings on the chart in the second half of the week if Jade is to claim that title.
Also debuting in the top 10 is BTS's JIMIN, with “Who” (Big Hit Entertainment). It's new at No. 8 on the blast chart and will benefit from the K-pop star's performance of the song on Monday night (July 22) at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
All will be revealed when the official UK charts are released on Friday 26th July.
