With Brat Summer in full swing, Bulletin board and SheMedia team up to see just how far reaching Charli XCX's latest album is.
In a new video posted on Monday (August 12), a group of teenage boys answer what the term means to them. While the vast majority of participants admit that they have “never heard [Brat Summer] in my life,” few gave thoughtful answers.
“Brat Summer to me is just this movement of people living freely as they want without caring how people perceive them,” one explained insightfully, while another hilariously added, “It reminds me of that expression, I don't know if I'm allowed to say that : “Service c—.”
Two songs by Charli XCX Brat are currently on the Billboard Hot 100, with “360” and the TikTok-viral “Apple” both toppling the chart. The album also dominates Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with 16 tracks on the chart, the highest of which, “Apple,” is at No. 4 (so far). Brat has reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Since its release in June, Brat it has become deeply ingrained in pop culture and even politics. Charli XCX posted on Twitter“Kamala [Harris] IS Brat,” and the vice president's presidential campaign responded by exchanging it Brat the green album color and font on his official account.
