The ongoing story between Keke Palmer and her dad, Darius Jackson, has taken an interesting turn.
Palmer and her ex-boyfriend are currently in a messy custody battle over their son Leodis Andrellton, with the actress/singer seeking full custody of Leodis and a temporary restraining order against her former flame.
The NO The star claims Jackson was physically and verbally abusive towards her, and now Jackson is making the same claims in a counterclaim filed Friday morning in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Los Angeles Times reports through Complex.
Per Complex:
In the complaint, Jackson alleged that Palmer, 30, “repeatedly engaged in abusive behavior” and “acted as the primary aggressor” during their two-year relationship.
Several incidents are cited in the countersuit between August 20, 2021 and March 12, 2023, where Jackson alleged that Palmer was “verbally and physically abusive” and “often became agitated and aggressive after drinking.”
The former athlete claimed the actress was “punching [him] in the face” at a birthday party in August 2021, “punched his windshield [his] car” while driving in January 2022 and “was physically assaulted [him] with choking and blows [him]” at her Los Angeles residence on February 28, 2022.
Jackson also claimed in the deposition that on March 12 this year, Palmer had been drinking and called him multiple assaults after he blamed him for a clogged shower drain. “I tried to de-escalate the situation and it got angrier,” Jackson said in the countersuit.
Palmer did obtain a temporary restraining order against her son's father, while Jackson denied all abuse claims brought against him.
Keke's mom jumped into the mix adding to the drama after she allegedly threatened to shoot Jackson for breaking into her daughter's house.
This situation is a huge, public mess that hopefully the two of them can resolve amicably for the sake of their son.
