Adele had three strange words as she finished her 10-day run at a purpose-built stadium in Munich, Germany: “Wow! Amazing success! Amazing success!” So the singer started off on a favorite note in the city for embracing her during a two-week run at the 80,000-capacity outdoor arena, Messe München, after wrapping up her final show on Saturday (August 31).
“You were incredible alone! What an amazing experience. I'm really moved by the genuine outpouring of love and goodwill from every single person who came to every show,” he continued. “It was the best vibes all around. I've never seen anything like these shows which were really spectacular and I feel very honored to have been asked to do them.”
The 36-year-old singer recently revealed that she plans to take a good, long break after resuming her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Oct. 25 for a final run of 10 shows. the last concert in the run will take place on November 23rd.
“I hope those of you who came had the best time at 'Adele World'. I had the time of my life adding all the personal and immersive touches to it,” Adele added in her note about the shows played to more than 730,000 fans in the largest temporary arena ever built. “I am very proud of the whole team and my teammates. Thank you as always for making me look so good. There's really no feeling like standing in front of people you've never met, belting out a bunch of songs that changed your life that somehow changed theirs. It's really remarkable and a great story to tell.”
The post was accompanied by an 80-second video compilation that featured some spectacular footage from the performances, fans interacting with Adele on stage and having the time of their lives to “When We Were Young.” The touching clip ends with Adele saying: “I will remember these shows forever and really, really hold them close to my heart forever.”
