If you were one of the millions of Oasis fans who spent the weekend reeling in an unsuccessful attempt to score tickets for one of the first 17 UK reunion shows, there may be hope on the horizon. After brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher answered long-held prayers for their comeback after 15 years apart by announcing a string of concerts in the summer of 2025 last week, ecstatic fans lined up to get seats for the shows in Cardiff, Manchester , London, Edinburgh and Dublin scheduled to start on July 4th.
And while the Gallaghers have yet to announce dates outside the UK, they teased last week that “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE '25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year.”
Those plans appear to be heating up based on billboard images that appeared stateside over the weekend and appear to tease the US dates. Spotted in New York's Times Square, the emails – which appear to be sponsored by Amazon Music – feature the company's logo followed by the ubiquitous new black-and-white photograph of the Gallaghers, along with the hopeful message: 'If I Must let's put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the United States, that's it.''
Last week, along with news of the UK shows, Oasis unveiled two new shirts which are exclusively available on Amazon Music.
At press time, a representative for Oasis had not been returned Bulletin boardRequest for comments on billboard or any possible 2025 US dates. After more than a million tickets for the UK shows quickly sold out, a spokesperson hinted at the weekend that more shows could be announced soon, saying “anticipation for details of the international tour dates is now building rapidly”.
Oasis broke up in 2009 after years of huge chart success and tabloid headlines in the UK linked the Gallagher brothers' fierce rivalry, with main songwriter older brother Noel leaving the band after a behind-the-scenes battle with Liam at a show near Paris that year. The brothers, now 57 and 51, haven't performed live since, although they often play Oasis songs during their solo gigs and with their side bands and, until last week, were still fighting each other online and in the press.
