Rubber Ducky Records, a floating record store based in the United Kingdom, is making a striking return after capsizing last year.
As upbeat as their vinyl selection, Rubber Ducky Records is bouncing back after the release of a fundraising in April 2023, when it sank and lost approximately 1,000 records. The unique store, which calls a colorfully painted canal boat its home, now sets sail in Manchester to take electronic music to new, uncharted waters.
“I'm incredibly grateful for all the support and generosity since the sinking, whether it's a message, a donation to fund me, or a hug. Thank you so much, humanity is truly incredible,” wrote Rubber Ducky Records owner Myles Greenwood. “I can finally say the phrase RUBBER DUCKY RECORDS IS OPEN AGAIN! What a crazy ride!
Greenwood says the revamped store features more than “3,000 new songs” for fans to discover across techno, trance, UK garage, drum & bass, disco and house, among other genres. As your vinyl boat travels, you can keep track of Rubber Ducky Records and book in-store visits.website.
