Don't expect a follow-up to 30 of Adele in the near future. In a recent interview with the German broadcaster ZDFThe artist confirmed that she has “no plans” for new music and shared her desire to work on other activities.
“I don’t have any plans to make any new music,” Adele said. “I want to have a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, even if it’s just for a little while.”
These comments reflect the sentiments from Adele's interview with The Hollywood Reporter released in December 2023. When asked if she's “had time to record new music,” Adele replied, “I'm nervous about wearing out my voice.” [at the residency]“It’s a lot of singing… I don’t have anything to say yet. I haven’t even thought about it.”
In January, Adele took it a step further by speaking to an audience at her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas. “I just don’t think I’m going to write an album for quite a while,” she said. “But the next time I do, I’m going to go wherever you live.”
Adele still has some touring obligations before she can take a break. The singer will perform a series of shows in Munich, Germany, next month before the remainder of her “Weekends With Adele” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in October and November. Get your tickets here.
