In anticipation of her upcoming album This Is How Tomorrow Moves, beabadoobee has released a new single, “Coming Home.” Stream the tune below.
Following lead single “Take a Bite,” “Coming Home” taps into similarly personal themes. Overtop a Beatles-inspired indie pop instrumental, the artist sings nostalgically of missing her loved ones (and her cats) while away.
“I wrote it in a hotel room in LA when I was away from my boyfriend, my loved ones, my two cats,” she said. “It opens with all the little mundane things, like doing the dishes, that I miss because I’m always away. Really, it’s just a cute little love song with a weird non-existent structure.”
The new cut also arrives ahead of the artist’s 2024 tour, which kicks off in the fall and hits cities like New York, Toronto, Chicago, and more. Check out beabadoobee’s full list of tour dates here, and pick up tickets to one of the shows here.
This Is How Tomorrow Moves was produced by Rick Rubin and is set to release on August 16th via Dirty Hit. Pre-orders are ongoing.
