In the words of Bunnie XO, it's an open book. The Silly blonde The podcast host explains to fans why she just retired from sex work by shutting down her OnlyFans last year, after her one-year retirement celebration apparently left some fans scratching their heads.
“A lot of people seem to be confused as to how I just retired from SW last year because I've been married for 7 years lol.. so here's the answer,” began Bunnie, who is married to country star Jelly Roll. Wednesday (March 6) Post on Facebook.
“When I got married JI refused to give up my independence and rely solely on him,” she shared, noting that she has always worked and made her own money. “He knew how important it was for me to make my own money. But she always said, “One day baby, you won't have to do this anymore.”
Bunnie noted that she started the Bunnie XO brand in 2018 — two years after her marriage to the “Son of a Sinner” singer — with money she made on her own rather than a dime from the country star's coffers. Two years after that, not only did she “stop seeing clients” and having sugar daddies, but she also launched her OnlyFans account, which Bunnie said brought her millions of dollars. “It was crazy how much money this site made me in such a short period of time.”
Fast forward another two years to 2022, and her brand — which features merch like hoodies, t-shirts, hats and more — has started making just as much if not more than her sex work, Bunny revealed. “So I couldn't justify still having that part of my life when the new brand I created was doing so well.”
But there was another reason he quit sex work, the entertainer shared. “Also, I didn't want to be the only wife in the country music scene whose dick was on the internet,” she wrote, adding a laughing-crying emoji. “But my husband has never asked me to give up anything in my life.”
“So I've decided to retire and immerse myself 100% in the Bunnie Xo brand in 2023,” her post concluded. “The best decision I ever made. The rest is history baby!”
The Post on Facebook which started the confusion of the fans had happened earlier in the day. In it, Bunnie celebrated the anniversary of closing what she called her 'spicy location', telling her followers: 'I was SO scared to leave this part of my life and leave the money I was making behind – I wasn't sure how I was going to make it this part of my business. But I had faith and let God have it and made sure I got it back 10 times over.”
While she may have retired from sex work, Bunnie XO isn't shy about getting sexy in her new projects. In December, he released a racist Christmas rap video titled “12 Days of Rizmas.” In it, she rhymes about female empowerment while also getting a little NSFW in the lyrics.
“She was like, 'Baby, this is so good,'” Bunny shared Music Mayhem of Jelly's reaction to her video. “I don't let him into my creative process or even tell him what I'm doing until it's done. I never ask for his help on any of these songs because it challenges me more to try and make it so dope that it impresses him.”
