Cass McCombs has released a surprise album: Seed cake in leap year. It's out now digitally, with vinyl and CD copies coming November 8th, via Dominothe new LP is a collection of unreleased music McCombs recorded in Jason Quever's San Francisco apartment from 1999 and 2000 while living in Berkeley. To celebrate the album's release, McCombs also shared three videos for new songs “Anchor Child,” “Baby” and “I've Played This Song Before.” All three of them Seed cake in leap year The visuals were shot on camera by various friends of his and co-edited by Michelle Yoon.
Next week, McCombs embarks on a North American tour. The tour includes stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Baltimore and other cities, with featured opening acts from Papercuts and Advance.
