After a prolific run of singles and EPs, Channel Tres will finally release their debut album next month.
The “Topdown” and “Controller” hitmaker is ready to reveal himself head rush in June 14 via RCA, revealed last week. Now, he's given fans a taste thanks to “Berghain,” the album's lead single featuring Barney Bones.
With hip-hop and house influences, the song is a testament to Channel Tres' unique and characteristic style. Combining deep vocals with reverberant synths and punchy percussion, “Berghain” is charged with the electric, melancholic energy of its namesake.
“It's about the time I played at Berghain and how the culture in that environment made me feel, I didn't feel weird anymore,” Tres said in a press release. “We are all equal, everyone's goal in that place is to enjoy and be free, and music played a fundamental role in that. It was the main thing for me and I wanted to document that experience I had there through music so that I always have that memory in my life, so I can feel that memory while I perform and relive that experience.”
Tres has upcoming festival appearances at Movement, HARD Summer, Outside Lands and further. In the meantime, you can listen to “Berghain” below and stream the new single. here.
