Rising alt-rock/dream pop quartet from Manchester (UK). crash are preparing to release their new EP, Nice stuff now, all the time, on April 12 via Heist or Hit. The announcement comes alongside a brand new single, 'Headspace', described by the band as “the most remarkable song on the EP”.
“Headspace” is a swirling piece of shoegaze-tinged dream pop – think Wolf Alice meets My Bloody Valentine and it sounds like a strong taste of what's to come.
Their lyrics navigate the contradictions of modern life, combining whimsical humor with the harsh realities of everyday life. The EP's title itself is explained by the band as something they thought of messing around in the car with “a Trump/Saul Goodman-esque character selling you the promise of 'nice things now, all the time'” as opposed to the dreary reality of our life in the city. We are all thin, stressed, bored and just want “nice things now, all the time”. Let's feed Lowry shrooms and take him to Thorpe Park.'
