Dad of the year? Charlamagne Tha God Talks Cardi B's Surprise Appearance at Daughter's Sweet 16

Charlamagne Tha God is up for Dad of the Year after pulling off the ultimate surprise for his daughter's Sweet 16 party. He also now owes Cardi B a huge favor afterwards The Breakfast Club The co-host had the Bronx rapper come to the party in June.

Charlamagne joined Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Wednesday night (August 14) where he was asked about how he managed to keep this secret and make the Grammy-winning rapper's appearance.

“Cardi is home. I've been rooting for Cardi since the beginning, way back when she was on Instagram and she made us all laugh,” he said. “I don't ask anything from the artists. My daughter turned 16 and all her friends have cool little people showing up at their events.”

THE NYT The best-selling author continued: “So I'm like, 'Hey Bardy, would you do me this favor?' And he was like, “Of course.” So thanks to Bardi for that. My daughter and her friends loved it because no one had any idea it was going to show up.”

Charlemagne posted some shots of his daughter's magical night with Cardi's cameo as he endorsed her as one of the “most genuine spirits of all time.”

“THANK YOU to good sister @iamcardib for appearing at my daughters Sweet 16 last Sunday,” she wrote on Instagram. “Big Bardi is truly one of the most genuine spirits ever and I truly appreciate her. This moment is now a memory that will forever be in the hearts of my daughter and all her friends and I will be forever grateful to Bardi for making it happen. I really thank GOD for EVERYTHING!!!”

The media mogul continued to dish on Cardi in a clip taken from The Breakfast Club where she gushed about how she danced with the girls, took pictures with everyone who asked and sang her own anthems to round off a night no one will forget.

“Cardi got crazy dishes to go,” CTG joked. “We got her right. I know the internet likes to say I'm biased towards Cardi B, yes.
