The elusive Deathpact are back with a new single, “NEMESIS,” a genre-defying journey for those who crave sonic brutality.
With all the hallmarks of a dark and downbeat Deathpact record, it is the electronic music group Phantom's first release of 2024.
“NEMESIS” slides with distorted bass beneath tortured howls, its tense, eerie production a premonition that draws us to the edge of a cliff. Those distress signals are then absorbed by the song's drop, a bass leviathan with bass so thick it could worry a cardiologist.
As “NEMESIS” progresses, its drum beats become more frenetic. Deathpact finally uncorks a vicious drum & bass sequence, a masterclass in versatility that drives the track home with unfiltered energy. Check out the track below.
In other Deathpact news, the mysterious collective recently announced a high-profile headline performance in Denver, where ticket holders can participate in a branded, “Eternity Research Group” VIP experience. Fans who complete a one-hour interview and “training session” will win merchandise and have access to an exclusive VIP viewing area at the show, which is scheduled for June 22 at the famed Mission Ballroom.
