Sean Diddy Combs has maintained his innocence the lawsuits and allegations of sexual assault against him. Now, he appears to be doubling down with a cryptic message posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday (May 14).
“Time tells truth,” reads the message, which he captioned simply “Love.”
Diddy didn't disable his comments section, prompting Instagram users to leave both supportive and critical comments. (The post has garnered more than 91,000 likes since it was published.)
“Tell the truth then n—a ‼️ u da one doin da bendin,” wrote one person, while another chimed in with support and shot back at the claims, saying: “I knew they were trying to destroy your name! He continued.”
One user even responded with the introductory quote from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NBC's long-running police procedural about an NYPD team investigating sex crimes: “In the criminal justice system, sex offenses are considered particularly heinous. In New York, the dedicated detectives who investigate these heinous crimes are known as the Special Victims Unit.”
But it wasn't all negative comments. The Grammy winner also received messages of support. Busta Rhymes commented with six crown emojis, while one fan wrote: “Still riding with you [prayer hands emoji].”
Diddy denied all the allegations against him in a statement posted on social media in December. “I didn't do any of the awful things they claim,” he said at the time. “I will fight for my name, my family and the truth.”
The Bad Boy mogul has come under fire in recent months with a litany of legal issues and the raid of his Miami and Los Angeles homes by federal agents in March. In April, Sean Combs filed a motion to dismiss some of the claims in a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him in November.
