In a livestream of the court proceedings last week, Cardello-Smith claimed that Diddy told her he would not respond to her complaint and that he intended to settle out of court. According to court documents, Diddy chose not to respond to the complaint after confirming receipt, so Judge Anne Marie Anzalone ruled in favor of the default judgment, awarding Cardello-Smith the $100 million she was suing for. Given the large sum of money she now owes, the judge set a payment schedule of $10 million each month, starting on October 1. In a statement to Anzalone, Diddy said she would pay the $100 million she owed. BillboardDiddy's attorney strongly denies that his client was ever served with the lawsuit and says he “hopes this judgment will be dismissed quickly.”
