“I got up and went about my day and thought I might as well lay down and take a nap,” she explained. “My son had a girlfriend who was there and she was like, 'No, we have to take you to the hospital.' So they took me to the emergency room.”
Dr. Dre went on to detail how he suffered three strokes and almost lost his life.
“The next thing you know, I'm black. I'm in and out of consciousness, and I ended up in the ICU. I was there for two weeks. I hear the doctors come in and say, “You don't know how lucky you are.”
When asked what caused his poor medical condition, he pointed to high blood pressure.
“I had no idea I had high blood pressure or anything like that because I'm in a healthy state. I lift weights, I run, I do everything I can to be healthy.” He went on to clarify that he has a new perspective on life saying, “it definitely makes you appreciate being alive, that's for sure.”
