The ongoing rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues, with Drake sharing a new song titled “The Heart Part 6” — a reference to the Pulitzer Prize winner's ongoing singles streak. “And we know you waste 6 minutes after that, so instead of posting my address you have a lot to address,” he wrote on Instagram. Drake's track responds to the two singles Lamar dropped over the weekend, Friday's Late Night “Meet the Grahams” and Saturday's “Not like us.” Listen to the new song below.
After Lamar targeted Drake's parents, son, bodyguard and associates, the Toronto rapper now claims he intentionally gave false information to people in hopes that Lamar would unknowingly use it in a track. (“Who you get your stories from, they're all clowns,” Drake raps. “We planned for a week and then we gave you the information/An 11-year-old daughter, I bet she's getting it.” Drake continues to claim that the Lamar's songs are “trauma to your own confessions” and he states bluntly “I've never been with anybody underage.”
Drake's previous diss track, “Family Matters,” was released last Friday (May 3). At the time, he was responding to Lamar's back-to-back “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.” This months-long beef started with Lamar's song “Like That” in March. Since then, several other rappers have entered and exited the race.
