Dua Lipa opened the 2024 Grammys performing “Training Season” and “Houdini.”
Dancing inside (and on) a cube of scaffolding, Lipa opened her performance by offering the first taste of “Training Season,” which officially premieres on February 11. She then joined her dancers at center stage to perform “Houdini.” Watch footage of Lipa's performance below.
Dua Lipa's performance comes ahead of her Song of the Year nomination Barbie contribution to the soundtrack, “Dance the Night.” The song was also nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media, along with her colleagues. Barbie collaborators Billie Eilish, Ryan Gosling and Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice. After winning Best New Artist in 2019, Lipa has been on a steady stream of Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Don't Start Now” in 2021.
The singer teased her upcoming album, which we named one of the most anticipated albums of 2024, by delivering the Kevin Parker and Danny L Harle-produced “Houdini” in November. Lipa recently spoke about the album's sound., revealing that Primal Scream and Massive Attack were some of his main influences.
