Future Nostalgia it climbed to the top in its second week and recorded 204 weeks at the top, including four stays at the top. Her 2017 self-titled debut peaked at No.3, but has clocked up 354 weeks on the Official Albums Chart.
With her latest frontrunner, confirmed on Friday, May 10, Lipa ditches Taylor Swift Department of Tormented Poets (EMI), down 1-2 after two weeks at the chart's zenith.
Rounding out the podium is Frank Turner Invincible (Xtra Mile), new at No.3. It's the English singer-songwriter's sixth UK top 10 appearance since 2013 Heart Tape Deck (No. 2 peak), 2015's Positive songs for negative people (No. 2), 2018's Be kinder (No. 3), 2019's No Man's Land (No. 3) and 2022 top chart FTHC.
Also debuting in the top 10 is Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones, whose second solo studio effort Inevitable Unbelievable (Ignition) starts at No. 6. This is a career best solo for the Welshman, improving on the No. 8 for his debut solo LP Don't let the devil take another day as of 2020. As a member of Stereophonics, Jones has eight UK No.1s.
Finally, as ABBA celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Eurovision Song Contest win with Waterloo, the Swedish pop band's juggernaut Gold: Greatest hits (Polydor) rebounds into the top 10, going 11-9 in his 1,149th week. Britain can claim a small part in ABBA's early success. The band won Eurovision in Brighton, England in 1974, although the Swedish entry received zero points from the UK judging panel. Viewers of the 2024 Eurovision final, hosted in Malmo, Sweden, were treated to a surprise on Saturday night when ABBA's digital avatars were beamed into the studio from the ABBA Voyage stage in London.
