Faye Webster is “Feeling Good Today” on her new song, the latest cut from the singer-songwriter's upcoming album, Undressed at the Symphony.
At just one minute and 26 seconds long, “Feeling Good Today” finds Faye Webster singing through autotune as she recounts an overall good day. “I feel good today / I ate before noon / I think that's pretty good for me,” Webster sings at the beginning of the song. She goes on to share several mundane details: she will keep her doors open and has an exterminator to keep bugs out, she's going to see her brother and her neighbors know her dog's name, which she finds out may be strange, but she's over it. . She even mentions that she got paid yesterday, but she continues singing “I'll probably buy something silly / 'Cause I'm pretty childish.”
The short but sweet song also arrives with a music video directed by Pooneh Ghana and starring TikTok's beloved grandmother, Lili Hayes. Hayes dons a Faye Webster latex mask and goes about her day, watering plants, playing a guitar, yo-yoing, playing video games, and looking more or less blank throughout the entire process. “Feeling Good Today” follows a previous release Undressed at the Symphony last month’s singles “But Not Kiss,” “Lifetime,” and “Lego Ring” featuring Lil Yachty. To promote the album, Webster will also embark on a major tour of the United States and Europe throughout the spring and summer, including festival appearances at Coachella, Primavera Sound, Bonnaroo and Governors Ball.
