Finneas has teased progress on his sister Billie Eilish's upcoming album.
The Let's Fall in Love for the Night artist produced and co-wrote his sister's first two albums, When We All Fall Sleep, Where Do We Go? and happier than ever.
Now, he's given an update on Billie's next full-length effort, revealing that it's “85 percent complete.”
However, speaking to Mr Porter, the producer admitted that the process was not easy.
“I don't think Billie was particularly sure how she really felt about the things we were trying to write about. Doing something that you feel really connected to — it can really elude you,” he shared.
Phineas also noted that his songwriting skills had gotten “a little rusty” due to his full touring schedule.
“And that was scary,” he added. “It was discouraging to realize that if I take time off, songwriting atrophies my muscles. I had to get back into shape.”
The 26-year-old told the report that he planned to better manage his music schedule in 2024.
“I like to create,” he said. “But I don't like to drown in it. So I try to have a more regulated relationship with it. I produce responsibly.”
In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Billie teased that her next album was “almost done” but neglected to give a release date.
“At some point you'll know more,” he said on the show, “but I'm not going to say anything.”
Billie's song What Was I Made For?, which appeared in the 2023 film Barbie, is currently nominated for five Grammys and a Golden Globe.
