A&R veteran Tim Glover named president of A&R, Pulse Records, Advertising sign can confirm.
Glover joins the Interscope Geffen A&M team, where he served as executive vice president of A&R since 2022 and held the position of senior vice president of A&R prior to that.
In his new role, announced today (February 21), Glover works specifically within the Pulse Records division of umbrella label Pulse Music Group, jointly reporting to Scott Cutlerco-CEO of Pulse Music Group; Josh Abraham, Co-CEO of Pulse Music Group. and Ashley Calhounchairman, Pulse Music Group.
During his time at Interscope, Glover was the point man for the label's collaborations with Dreamville – which included artists such as J. Cole, JID and Ari Lennox, among others – and LVRN, including Summer Walker and 6LACK, as well as collaborations with Tierra Whack and over a dozen other artists on the label.
“Tim's creative prowess has led him to sign and collaborate with some of the top recording artists in the world,” reads a statement jointly released by Abraham, Cutler and Calhoun. “We want our artists at Pulse Records to work with the best talent managers and Tim will be a key part of the team as we continue to build.”
The seasoned recruit joined Interscope in 2014, was promoted to senior staff in March 2019, and in 2021 was named Advertising signThe 40 Under 40 list of top young executives in the music industry.
At Pulse, Glover will continue to option A&R projects with Interscope, a rep says Advertising sign.
Launched in June 2023, Pulse Records is part of Concord Label Group and distributed through the company's long-standing relationship with Universal Music Group.
Pulse Records has since formed an artist development joint venture with ISO Supremacy, the new label founded by platinum recording artist and publishing client Pulse Music Group, Brent Fayaz. Through this deal, Pulse and Faiyaz signed Tommy Richman to Pulse Records.
Also, Pulse Records recently signed a New Zealand-born South African artist 9 livesa leader in the Sigilkore scene, a rap subgenre that combines cloudrap, hyperpop and electronic, collaborating with Trippie Redd, Rico Nasty, JELEEL!, Kanii and Odetari.
