You know when something just doesn't work right and no matter how many times you try to unplug it and plug it back in, or turn it off and on again, nothing seems to work?
Ultimately, the solution is a complete system reset, wiping the slate clean. But did you know that the same can also be done with humans?
From May 22 to 27, tens of thousands gathered at the esteemed Lightning in a Bottle festival to rekindle that inner spark—to tap into their own lightning in a bottle, so to speak.

More than ever, modern society is filled with an excess of distractions. Rampant consumerism, whether of content or goods and services, wastes our time and attention. And we become exhausted as our inner light dims or even goes out completely. This is when we experience burnout if we are not careful.
So what is the solution? It's very simple, really. We all need a complete system reset. We need to play and express ourselves without apology or judgment, and music festivals like Lightning in a Bottle are ideal places.
Who were you before the world told you who you should be? Year after year, LIB reminds all attendees, artists, performers and creators of the importance of play and that it is safe to be your authentic self. You are all welcome.
EDM.com was on hand to actively participate and report on this year's extraordinary LIB festival, which was packed with unique activations and standout performances. While this level of diversity may cause reservations for some, it is an opportunity to experience the whimsy and originality of one of the country's best festivals.
In the music category, some notables include rising New Zealand star ASHEZ, who smashed her set at the Stacks on Friday night, followed by an invigorating performance by Skream on the Thunder stage. On Saturday, Maddy O'Neal launched us all on a sonic expedition (with a safe landing, we might add) and EDM.com Class of 2024 artist Of The Trees cemented her place in the spotlight with her hypnotic bass and whispering percussion.
In closing, CloZee surprised us all with a mind-blowing, bass-heavy adventure, and Skrillex did what he does best.

Let's not forget Skrillex's surprise at Stacks on Friday night and RÜFÜS DU SOL (they weren't even in the lineup) gracing us with a surprise performance at sunset on Sunday. Both served as a powerful reminder that we must be open to accepting the unexpected.
With the 21st edition of LIB now in the rearview, you can relive some of your favorite moments with the photo gallery below. If you weren't able to attend this year, here's your chance to witness some moments in time captured by the festival's talented media team.
