Someone shine a light on Ice Spice! The Bronx rapper brings that heat to her new single “Gimmie a Light,” which was released Friday (May 10) via 10K Projects and Capitol Records.
She debuted “Gimmie the Light” during her performance at Coachella in April. The single samples Sean Paul's Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 “Gimme the Light” from their 2002 sophomore albumDutty Rock. The reggae superstar shared the video clip on X.
“Gimmie a Light” comes four months after Spice's last solo single “Think U the Shit (Fart),” which debuted at No. 37 on the Hot 100 — making it her highest-charting solo single to date today. She is scheduled to release her first full-length albumY2Klater this year, following her debut EPLike..?which was released in January 2023.
