Having returned to the live arena with an incendiary and heartwarming celebration of a concert at London's Village Underground, IDLES today announce that their 2024 world tour will be extended with additional dates spanning North America, Mexico, the UK and Ireland.
Taking the power of love on tour, the new tour dates will see IDLES play to a combined audience of tens of thousands of fans during new autumn shows in the UK and Ireland alone, including at London's prestigious Alexandra Palace with capacity for 10,000 people. Meanwhile, they are also confirmed to perform some of their biggest shows in North America, notably two nights each at the Hollywood Palladium and Seattle's Paramount Theatre.
Vocalist Joe Talbot talks about upcoming album 'TANGK' “I needed love. So I did it. I gave love to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. It's all love.”
'TANGK', which will be released on February 16 via Partisan Records, was co-produced by the band's Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, The Smile, Beck), Kenny Beats (Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Benee) and Mark Bowen. . Expanding an explosive series of unfailingly moving albums, 'TANGK' is this band's most ambitious and surprising record yet. They released the album with the single 'Dancer', which features backing vocals from LCD Soundsystem duo James Murphy and Nancy Whang. Expect another new clue to be revealed soon…
'TANGK' follows IDLES' 2021 album 'CRAWLER', which became their third consecutive Top 10 hit in the UK and led to their first two Grammy nominations, building on their previous Ivor Novello win and a BRIT nomination.
