Incubus have released a re-recorded version of their 2001 album, morning view. stream it below.
In a recent interview with ConsequenceIncubus vocalist Brandon Boyd spoke about maintaining the “flourishing legacy” of the original album while reviewing it for Morning View XXIII. “A lot of people love this album as is; it's not that it's broken,” he said.
However, the band wanted to capture how the songs have “morphed and changed” over the past few decades. “They've evolved into totally different arrangements and then back to the original arrangement; we've been playing them for that long at this point,” he explained. “On the re-recording, you can tell it's the same song, but there are different embellishments.”
Starting at the end of August, Incubus will perform morning view in its entirety on a US tour with special guests Coheed and Cambria (get tickets here). Last weekend, the group played the BeachLife Festival in California. Read our event summary.
