Moldovan metal powerhouse Infected Rain recently released their sixth studio album, TIME, via Napalm Records. The LP is adventurous and daring, seeing the band flex their musical muscle and deliver a variety of heavy metal sounds, from progressive to modern metal.
At the helm of Infected Rain is vocalist Lena Scissorhands, who co-founded the band in 2008. More than 15 years and six albums later, the band is as strong as ever, with some wisdom added along the way.
“I feel like, and my friends are about the same age or so, I see how much it bothers people, getting older, and how much it makes them sad. I never thought of it that way, not because I'm perfect. I have my own… skeletons in other closets. Absolutely. But I never thought of it that way, getting older, as a problem in anything. “Aging should bring with it the benefits of being wiser.”
During this episode of Beyond the boys club In the podcast, Scissorhands discusses her journey in the music industry, the challenges she has faced as a woman and as part of a band from Moldova, and other topics.
