J Balvin Announces New Album 'Rayo', Reveals Tracklist Featuring Feid, Carín León & More

J Balvin's upcoming new album, titled Rayodue out on August 9th, Advertising sign has learned. The 15-track LP features collaborations with Feid, Chencho Corleone, Bad Gyal and Carín León, among others.

The set will follow the Colombian hitmaker's Grammy Award Jose released three years ago, which reached No. 1 on Advertising sign'Chart of Top Latin Albums for three weeks. In total, Balvin has placed four No. 1 sets on the tally since 2016 – among Energy, Vibrations and Oasishis joint 2019 album with Bad Bunny.

As with all of his previous albums, this one started with a name before he even recorded any of the songs included. “My albums always started with their names,” he previously said Advertising sign. “In this way, we let ourselves be guided by the atmosphere.” The singer-songwriter also shared that London was a major source of inspiration for the set, especially the nightclub scene, where he and his band would sometimes play demos. “We wanted to see the reaction of the fans and it was amazing,” he said.

According to a press release, Rayo it's an expression of the “honest need for human connection that drove Balvin to create an album that feels more like a house party than a collection of songs.” In this new album, he combines elements of reggeatón with electronic pop and dembow, the statement adds.

In April, J Balvin performed a riveting sci-fi-inspired headlining set at Coachella, where he performed his biggest anthems to date, including recent hits like “Colmillo” and the Tainy-produced “Dientes.” Some of his surprise guests included Jowell & Randy, De La Ghetto and Will Smith.

The announcement of the new album coincides with Balvin's new single “Gaga” in collaboration with Saiko. The Keityn and Lexvz-produced track is set to drop on Thursday (July 11).
