J. Cole notify the Hip-Hop world after the response Kendrick Lamar in his wonder work, It may be deleted later. During his set at this year's Dreamville Festival, J. Cole addressed his beef with K-Dot and said that “7 Minute Drill” will be pulled from streaming services in an epic moment of his comeback.
J. Cole, 39, took the stage on the closing night (April 7) of his annual Dreamville festival in Raleigh, NC, and addressed the crowd as he often has in the past. The huge elephant roaming the festival grounds was K-Dot's take on Drake and Cole on Future and the pair's take on Metro Boomin's “Like That.” WE DON'T TRUST YOU work.
Taking a moment to close out the set, the Dreamville honcho addressed the crowd and checked himself in to take a shot at Lamar and end the feud, at least on his end.
“I am so proud of this project [Might Delete Later] except for one place,” Cole said on stage. “There's a part of this sh**t that makes me feel like, 'Man, this is the dumbest thing I've ever done in my life. And, I know that's not what a lot of people want to hear. I can hear my n*ggas up there right now like “Nah don't do that”. But, I have to keep it 100 with you. I almost had a relapse.”
Cole admitted to being reactive at the time and expressed that he wasn't happy with the chatter that sparked his diss track, though he called it friendly competition. In the end, Cole says he plans to remove “7 Minute Drill” from his latest project, while declaring that he loves both Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
Over at Xitter, fans debate who won the fake beef feud (more on that later) between J. Cole, Drake and Kendrick, the so-called “Big Three” with some winners and losers in a battle that never took off . the degree some seem to believe.
