Now that Drake has arguably become one of the most outcast men in the Hip-Hop game (he can thank Kendrick Lamar for that), he seems to have found an unlikely ally in another rap star turned outcast, Kanye West , with respect. .
Over the weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign stepped out in South Korea, shocking the crowd at Goyang Stadium in Seoul when Ye decided to dedicate one of his sets to Drake. As “I Wonder” came over the speakers, Yeezy said, “This one for Drake.” Having been embroiled in a strange feud with the King of the North for the past few years, we can only wonder if Kanye is extending an olive branch to the struggling Canadian fan or if this is somehow another subliminal thing that only he and Kanye can understand.
You never know with these guys.
On the other hand, Kanye took the time to remind everyone that he's still not happy with how his relationship with adidas has turned out and led the crowd in a “F*ck Adidas!” as Yeezy's termination saw Kanye go from billionaire to millionaire overnight.
For a country whose main language is Korean, they knew very well how to say “F*ck adidas”. I'm just saying.
While we know adidas won't be responding to any Kanye slurs anytime soon, we wonder if Drake will reach out to Kanye (or vice versa) following this latest turn of events. Will Drake and Kanye reunite sometime in the near future? Is Kanye trying to officially bury the hatchet with his sometime rival? Does Drake even care about fixing his relationship with Kanye at this point?
We don't know, but we better believe that the whole Hip-Hop world is watching and interested to see how this ends up playing out.
However, we're sure adidas couldn't care less.
