Without “Nightcall,” would people still be saying “he's literally me” when watching the show? Drive?
On the 13th anniversary of the release of the Ryan Gosling-led cult classic, Kavinsky has announced the release of a revamped version of his signature track. A new remix of “Nightcall,” performed by Kavinsky, Phoenix and Angèle at the Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony, is coming soon.
The teaser arrived via social media posts from the artists, which include a poster with each other’s names, Kavinsky’s signature Ferrari Testarossa, and a phone number. Upon calling the number, users receive a short message from Kavinsky, Phoenix, and Angèle before playing a short snippet of the collaboration.

In July, “Nightcall” generated the “most Shazamed minute” in the app’s history when Kavinsky, Phoenix and Angèle performed the 2010 song together for the first time. The unusual performance ultimately propelled the song to become the “most Shazamed song in a single day,” according to the platform’s owner, Apple.
Neither Kavinsky, Phoenix nor Angèle have announced a release date for their “Nightcall” remix as of this writing.
