Khruangbin has announced his latest album. TO THE ROOM, out April 5 via Dead Oceans. To share a “first look at the abundant views that drive the band's vision,” as their press release states, the band has also revealed TO THE ROOMThe lead single, “A Love International.”
TO THE ROOM is intended to be a “comeback exercise” for the psychedelic rock trio of bassist Laura Lee, drummer Donald Johnson, Jr. and guitarist Mark Speer. Recorded without outside collaborators aside from the band's engineer Steve Christensen, the album sees Khruangbin at their most authentic, aiming to establish “a reinvention and replenishment of the group for a long road ahead.”
To coincide with the release's release, Khruangbin announced a three-night residency at New York's Bowery Ballroom from March 27-29. They will also play at Bonnaroo this June.

Room marks Khruangbin's first full album of original material since Mordechai in 2020. In 2022, they launched collaborative projects with Vieux Farka Touré (Ali) and Puentes de León (Texas Moon). Live albums recorded at Stubb's in Austin and the Sydney Opera House were released last year.
