The matriarch of the family became emotional while breaking the news of her upcoming surgery to her family
Kris Jenner has revealed she has to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries after a doctor found a tumour.
Kris shared the health update during this week's episode The Kardashians season five while talking to three of her kids — Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner — and boyfriend Corey Gamble.
“I wanted to tell you something… I went to the doctor and had the scan,” she said while trying to hold back tears. “They found – and this makes me really excited – but they found a cyst and a small tumor on my ovary.”
“Dr A said I should have my ovaries removed and I'm excited about that because they helped,” she continued. “That's where all my children were conceived, and that's where they grew up, in my womb. So this is a very sacred place for me.”
In a confessional, Kim said she felt “really sad” for her mom and couldn't imagine having to go through such an experience. Khloé then got sister Kourtney Kardashian on the phone so she could hear the news as well.
“I totally understand how my mom feels because I would feel the same way,” Kourtney said. “It's your feminine power, and it doesn't mean it takes away from who she is or what she's experienced, but I would feel that emotional feeling of what's being created.”
Kris became emotional while discussing the idea of losing her ovaries, crying while talking to her family. The matriarch of the family said it was forcing her to face the idea that she was getting old and officially done with a part of her life.
“It's a whole chapter that just closed,” he said.
“Listen, if I can get through the hip replacement, I can get through this,” Kris said, recalling the procedure she had a few years ago. “I'm not worried about being put to sleep. I'm not nervous about Dr. A. She is the best doctor in the world. But then you go do it and… it's so real.”
