My name is Lainey Wilson and here are five things you might not know about my song “Heart Like A Truck.”
I wrote it during the pandemic.
I wrote it with two of my best friends. We like to call ourselves Heart Wranglers.
We initially wrote the song very fast and kind of rocky and then we ended up slowing it down again.
Every time I sing the song, I have to mentally prepare myself for that eight-second note at the end.
And also the song keeps changing its meaning for me. I feel like as my journey changes, that doesn't mean the challenges go away. And I feel like every time I go on stage and sing it, I say it from the heart again.
