Laura Dern has gushed over her “deep friendship” with Taylor Swift.
The Big Little Lies star has opened up about her friendship with the “incredible” music superstar.
“It’s one of my deep friendships and I love and admire her so much,” Laura, 56, told People.
She added, “To find a friend amidst the creative, and she’s a superpower… She’s incredible. So that’s been really fun.”
In 2022, the Jurassic Park actress appeared in the music video for Taylor’s hit Bejeweled, playing the wicked stepmother in the singer’s reimagining of Cinderella. During the video, she delivered the nasty line, “You tired, tacky wench.”
The actress starred in the video alongside the Haim siblings, who played the stepsisters.
During the interview, Laura was asked if her fan base had grown as a result of the music video.
“I don’t know,” she replied. “I don’t know, but I’ll take it.”
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in November 2022, the actress said she had an “amazing” experience working with the All Too Well singer.
“I am honoured to be part of it,” she told the outlet. “And so excited for this amazing moment of triumphant success for her.”
Meanwhile, during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2022, Taylor joked about offering the actress the gig.
“I was like, ‘Oscar winner Laura Dern, hello. I’ve written a script. It’s a one-scene script in which you are going to call me a tired, tacky wench’ and she was like, ‘I’m down,'” the singer recalled.
