When it comes to Travis Kelcehis relationship with Taylor Swift, the tight end's teammates are right along for the ride. In a recent interview, Kansas City Chiefs' Drue Tranquill shared whether the high-profile romance ever comes up between the other players, revealing that the team loves to “have fun” with No. 87.
“It's interesting,” Tranquill told CBS Sports Radio Zach Gelb Report in a clip on Wednesday (Jan. 24). “You don't really feel it and you don't hear it too much in the locker room. But there will be moments like in practice when… our DJ turns on a Taylor Swift song and everyone makes jokes about it.”
“I think the wives and the girlfriends, I hear it more when I come home than in the building,” he continued. “But it was fun, man. This is something to celebrate, something fun and we enjoy having fun at Travis.”
Ever since he began a romance with Kelce last summer, Swift and her frequent presence at his games have been a hot topic among the Chiefs Kingdom. In December, quarterback Patrick Mahomes said the “Anti-Hero” singer was a “great woman” adding that “she and Travis are such a good fit.” Shortly before that, Kansas City coach Andy Reid called Swift a “good girl” and said the team is “happy to have her here.”
“Looks like they might be in love, man,” Tranquill added. “They really have something going on, and we love having her at our games. He brings a lot of energy and a lot of fun to our fans. And so that's good for business, good and good for the NFL.”
But does Tranquill envision receiving an invitation to what would undoubtedly be one of the most famous weddings of all time? “We'll see, man, we'll see,” he said with a laugh. “I think there will be a lot of people who want to go to it.”
