Blackpink’s Lisa made a stage out of the runway at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The singer joined the event’s first-ever all-women performance lineup to open the show with her fiery solo hit, “Rockstar.”
Lisa, fittingly dressed in a two-piece leather look, hit the stage riding a motorcycle suspended in the air, while backed by 10 dancers as she joined in for the five-star choreography. Toward the end of the song, the performance devolved into a fiery dance break as the rock star landed in the splits before ending her performance by strutting down the runway.
After her performance, the fashion show officially commenced as Bella Hadid strutted down the catwalk in a washed-pink undergarment. Several models began to strut to the beat of Chappell Roan’s “Femininomenon.”
Lisa was the last artist to be announced when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show lineup was unveiled in September. The show — which marks the first time it has been held since being canceled in 2019 following backlash surrounding a lack of inclusivity — also featured performances from Tyla and Cher.
“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is such an iconic night in fashion and I’m so excited to be part of its return with so many incredible and powerful women being part of the show! It’s going to be a great night,” Lisa shared in a statement when her performance was first announced.
Fashion, more generally, has become a major part of Lisa’s creative narrative in recent years. In July, she was announced as the latest House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton. At the time, the brand celebrated the artist as being “instrumental in redefining today’s global music culture,” adding that she “sets trends and approaches her craft with fearless authenticity.” Lisa has also served as an ambassador for Celine and Bulgari.
Lisa made a comeback of her own this year. Three years after releasing her debut EP Lalisa, she returned with the upbeat single “Rockstar.” She brought the track to the stage for her debut solo performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards along with her follow-up track “New Woman,” which features Rosalía. Last week, Lisa unveiled “Moonlit Floor” as her third single release of the year. She initially debuted the track at Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 28.
