KEYSIDE are front and center of the burgeoning Liverpool scene that is revitalizing the city's sound, with a set ready for “the fresh fields of festival season” (Liverpool Noise) that has lit up Liverpool's O2 Academy and the Albert Hall in Manchester. His new single, Turn back timenow available, delves into the haunting depths hidden within his music.
The quartet plays irresistibly honey-sweet guitars against evocative and cryptic lyrics. They are greeted by tastemakers and fans alike as a burst of youthful energy, with their quintessential Mersey sound and an authentic Liverpool identity. 'Turn Back The Time' is a mature and atmospheric addition to their repertoire, centered around lead singer Dan Parker's reflective and deeply personal lyrics. Haunting guitars bloom around the cinematically rich vocals, while Oisin McAvoy's cavernous drums lend a harsh edge to the probing rhetorical questions that repeat throughout the song. Parker captures the bittersweet loss of youth with raw emotion in the chorus as he repeats: “Where did he go? Where did we go?” He explained the song's coming-of-age theme: “We don't get time back, but we learn from it.”

The band is recovering quickly and is preparing to release their debut EP in March 2024, including 'Turn Back the Time' and fan favorite 'Angeline' (which already has over 43,000 streams on Spotify). The collection was produced by Chris Taylor, co-owner of Kempston Street Studios (formerly Parr Street), accentuating Keyside's modern verve.
