What the fuck is going on here, guys? Oh Lord. Well, first of all, thank you very much Demi Lovato for being with me. I sing mainly in Portuguese, so this is crazy and I'm really nervous right now.
Well, I have something here that I will try to read. “Hey guys. Okay, this is crazy,” I wrote that. First of all, I want to thank the women who inspired me in my life: my mom, I want to thank my grandmother, my manager Fatima and everyone on my team that make it possible to be here. This is Crazy. I'm from a small town in Brazil with 6,000 people. And I started my musical journey singing in a wedding band when I was 7 years old, and I never, ever thought I'd be here tonight. This is Too much for me. I can't handle it.
Thank you so much, Billboard, for your work to see and recognize women. This is incredible. This is very important. But tonight I want to especially thank Brazilian women. This is the first time that someone from Brazil has received this award. That's why I want to dedicate this award to Brazilian artists, composers and producers. Thank you so much. Karol G, composers.
