Over the weekend, the internet erupted with a fiery rap beef taking place in real time — and no, it wasn't the one between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion.
From Saturday (February 3), his followers RuPaul's Drag Race had a deeply entertaining, spontaneous “feud” between two former contestants – season eight winner Bob the Drag Queen and season 14 star Maddy Morphosis. Through an escalating series of videos, tweets and teasers, what started as a one-off joke turned into a full-on stage match, with the two queens releasing diss tracks aimed directly at the other.
“Corned beef,” Bob's no-holds-barred takedown Give Me Straight the host came first, with the Sibling rivalry host taking aim at Maddy's heterosexuality, wigs and general aesthetic. But the Formation answered with “Who Popped Ya,” following Bob's career, fashion and writing style to disastrous effect.
After the dust settled and the beef that was never really “squeezed,” fans online came to a consensus that this was the kind of over-the-top brawl they were in for in 2024. “Bob and Maddy feud is my favorite match with attraction ever so crazy joke,” a fan He wrote after the online fight. He wrote another, “this maddy and bob beef is LITERALLY the highlight of my entire year.”

February 3: Maddy calls Bob's “Drag Race” lyrics “Corny” on “The Pit Stop”

The first shot came from the season 14 queen when she made a guest appearance RuPaul's Drag Raceofficial recap of the show, The Pit Stop, on Saturday (February 3). Dressed in a really giant wigs, Maddy explained to host Trixie Mattel that she was upset that she didn't get to perform in a season 14 songwriting challenge. “I think I'm very clever with wordplay. I wish I could have done a Ru verse,” he said.
When Mattel suggested that Morphosis could “do what Bob the Drag Queen does” it released its own verse for a Drag Race songwriting challenge, Maddy didn't miss a beat. “I think it's crazy,” he said with a smile. “Bob's lyrics are great, but I don't know, it's just weird. It's like, “But you weren't there, though. You're not in this song.”

February 4: Bob teases an incoming verse that 'could have gone too far'
Never one to take a shady comment lying down, Bob the Drag Queen went to X in the early hours of Sunday morning (Feb. 4) for the girls, the gays and themselves to find out what's coming.

Feb 4: Bob Drops 'Corned Beef' Diss Track, Says Maddy Is 'Giving Inbred'

It turns out to be Bob he wasn't kidding, b–ch. After exchanging some shady jabs at Maddy on X, Bob dropped her official response to the “weird” comments with “Corned Beef.” Set to the RuPaul song “Read U Wrote U” — which served as the basis for All Stars 2The legendary singing challenge with Alaska, Detox, Katya and Roxxxy Andrews — Bob went right for the season 14 queen's jugular.
Between referring to Maddy as an “ankle”, comparing her unfavorably to Patrick Swayze In Wong Fu The Vida Boheme character and claiming that “if the wig doesn't come first, I'll break your neck,” the eight-season winner held nothing back after Maddy. But perhaps the most devastating rants came with Bob's final lines: “'Read U Wrote U,' yeah, they've read you/ Fayetteville, Arkansas, giving relative/ Bald b–ch to bald b–ch, you pinhead/ where have you been on 1/6, you skinhead?'

February 4 – 5: Maddy prepares to respond with “Lyrics for a Track I Wasn't In”
Why squish the beef when you could start roasting it even more? Answering in bob's post about her X diss piece, mandy took a dig at her fellow queen's pen game. “Did Patrick Swayze read? “Maybe the author was a ghost too,” he wrote.
But at a certain point, the talk got cheap, so Maddy she digitally cracked her knuckles and let Bob know he wasn't going down without a fight. “Ohhh thaaaat that's what we do,” she wrote. “Alright, let's go write some lyrics for a track I wasn't up to speed on. Brb.”
With Monday morning (Feb. 5), she informed her fans that the song was locked and loaded for later that day, including a mystery element.

February 5: Maddy asks Bob “Who Popped Ya?” on her response single: “Booger Queen Energy”

At the start of Maddy's 'Who Popped Ya' response video, fans could be forgiven for thinking the Queen was filming an apology video instead of her own diss track. Sitting in her studio, Maddy apologized for her comments on “my very successful episode The Pit Stophurt the queen's feeling. Of course, the fake atonement quickly fell apart as she started asking Bob if there were any “good lyrics I didn't know” in her track.
Redefining the same “Read U Wrote U” beat, Maddy launched into her own diss track. Throughout “Who Popped Ya,” Maddy blasted Bob as “certified,” mocking her for no longer working on the HBO series Was here, she said she needed to “clear her sinuses” of “booger queen energy” and wondered how the much-loved, pansexual, non-binary performer could be “open to anything but criticism.”
Putting her final stamp on the track, she played a clip of Bob Brother Rivali co-presenter Monét X Change singing an operatic number All stars 7with fake captions for the Italian lyrics saying Maddy was “killing it”.

February 5: 'Vegan Beef' is officially squashed
After two diss tracks, a few dozen shady tweets and a tsunami of online discussion from Drag Race fans, it looks like both Bob and Maddy have finally settled their feud — even if there wasn't Really a controversy to begin with. Answering on Maddy's verse, Bob admitted that the Queen “had a few bites” throughout the track – though he later made sure to shade Maddy's style with republication Britt Barbie's infamous 'ah period' TikTok, and saying the 'stream was flawless'.
Maddy, meanwhile, let fans know the two queens were still on speaking terms, suspension a screenshot of a text exchange between the two. “After that, when will we release STR8 BARZ?” Maddy asked Bob, referring to Queen's 2023 mixtape GAY BARZ. She captioned the screenshot saying she wanted to “squeeze that corn,” with Bob citing her tweet and reminding fans that fake fights are even more fun than real ones. “Vegan beef really is the best,” he wrote.
