Manchester punk outfit Loose Articles have announced the release of their highly anticipated debut album, titled Scream if you want to go faster, will hit shelves on June 7, 2024, via Alcopop! Registrations.
Celebrating this milestone, the band revealed that the album's lead single, titled 'Mr. Manager', will be released on April 17, 2024.
Reflecting on the process of making the album, the quartet shared insights into their energetic approach. “We pumped it up over two very long sessions over the weekend to keep the energy high and fast-paced, just like our live shows,” the band noted. “Fueled by a batch of Pot Noodles and medicinal drugs, we've created a Loose Articles extravaganza with big riffs, footy whistles and cowbells to keep you going!”
Keeping with their original sound, Loose Articles recorded, mixed and co-produced the record up north with Ian Stewart at Blueprint Studios, affectionately named 'Costa Del Salford'. In addition, the album was mastered by Katie Tavini, known for her work with famous acts such as Los Bitchos, Rudimental, Arlo Parks, Bloc Party and Nadine Shah.
