Morris described Rest as an appetizer of what is to come, although its emotional weight has a great impact. A standout “I Hope I Never Fall in Love” channels raw anguish, with Morris pushing his voice to a harsh, heartbreaking edge. “It needed that desperation and that anger,” he said.
The title of the EP speaks of the moment: a pause, but not a stop. Morris is immersed in the creative process, balancing new writing journeys with festival performances. “At the end of the day, I'm still an album girl,” she said, clearly inspired by the wave of powerful women dominating the charts.
